Last session of Principles of Mission...i actually enjoyed attend dis class..i muz thankful 4 d caffeine frm d coffee provided oso..cuz all d lectures r all solid stuff 2 consumed...
But it had been great!!! I mean, seriously....haha.....altho i'm d youngest among all those great & "legendary" yet experienced missionaries b4 me in dis photo...their experiences had been sooo very rich.....sumhow i felt i was enriched thru d whole way, was blessed by PhD Dr Teresa Chai too..hahaha....Permanent Head Damage...even she herself admits it....& i actually felt dat i'm standing b4 true believers..each of em....sumwhere in d course...it has reaches deeply into my heart & made me had strong compassionate towards it....i shall dearly miss em all...Goodbye my fellow course mates...another tym & another place....

1 of d requirements in joining the TCA course Principles of Mission is dat u hafta go 4 a short term mission field trip...either indivual or in groups...so i managed 2 gather a group of 4 ppl 2 join dis trip, our aim is 2 do mission reach out 2 these kampung area, d location? Kampung Melikin, Serian..It is a 2 days 1 nite trip..short huh? (Fri & Sat, 19-20/10/07) last week..
D first thing i notice was d closest place 2 d kampung is known as Balai Ringin...den a 3 kilometres drive thru these rocky, muddy, uneven road all d way in2 d heart of these kampung....in kampung melikin, thr's altogether 6 kampungs all in all....acc 2 d Ketua Kampung, Mr Sujal ak Gansi, it's estimated 2 haf 300 families in all these 6 kampung, in a family consist of around 4-5 ppl..so any1 wif d calculator up their mind? 300 x 5 = ?...Ans: 1,500 villagers live here..partly of the ppl hu lived here r either old Anglican & Catholics culture system. Children as younger as primary sch r required 2 stay in hostels which is a distance of a couple of kilometres away frm their home! Rocky path in Muddy terrain a long & uncomfortable bumpy & winding path Rocky path a catholic kampung church one d d kampung we passed by arriving at d ketua kampung's house where we stay..dis is my room animals such as dogs, puppies, cocks, geese, cat etc r found here d cutest puppy among all mother dog & it's respective puppies outside d ketua kampung house...a vast land...cloudy weather one of d young kampung villagers, named Suria, a miracle child as d day grows darker, power supply r nt available, candles r used..taken wif flash cam mode without flash mod, actual darkness scene first offering, cream crackers & lukewarm Milo our second offering taken later after d first, dinner as shown kitchen a semi-modern kampung, cookin stove & even sink d most unfavourite part, d bathroom & toilet
On dat nite, we conducted a short service, between d 4 of us, Alma, Bajau, Alice & I, we r suppose 2 gather all d 6 kampungs for dat nite 2 haf fellowship 2gether bt unfortunately, it rained heavily for d entire evening thruout d nite, so onli d kampung nearby d ketua kampung managed 2 attend onli....d ketua kampung's house acts as an church on sundays, dey all gather 2gether for sunday services...Dey r 4 known races : d Land Dayaks, Iban, Indonesian & Malays. Plus, i was informed dat d kampung we r in is close 2 d borders of Kalimantan!!! We did a simple prayer & delieverance session 2 pray & meet d needs of these villagers after our P & W n sharing of testimonies...

Fruits of d Spirit in BM pasted on d wooden walls of d room after d service, we were served wif supper, in their culture, women served Kuih lipat & coffee served Kuih lipat made outta glutinous rice outside & coconut inside  irritating bugs during d rainy evening
D nex morning, i was d earliest 2 wake up cuz of our room is close 2 whr d geese r...i gt my morning wake-up calls frm d quackin of d geese in d early morning around 6.30 am...we slept bout 2am sum d nite b4...i still feel pretty restless, as a result of being a light sleeper, i flop 2 my other side & found Bajau, snoring lyk a baby still...Refuse to wake up still den, i hope i cud jz ignore d geese...hu knew, d ketua kampung turn d radio LOUD & clear at around 6.45 am...jz my luck, i guess God jz don 1 me 2 b d lazybones...Bajau, despite of d loud radio, still snores!!!! Unbelievable!!!!

I tot after d d trip out of d kampung d next day's late morning, after d bumpy windin road again out 2 d main road , we'll jz mayb drop around 2 haf lunch in d town area of Serian, SCR 2gether b4 goin all d way down 2 Kch...bt instead, Alma said dat she had a close fren hu's ill, by d name of Harrison, about my age...hu lived at d Army CAmp at 8th Mile...she wanted 2 drop by 2 visit coz d fren of her's is paralysed...sad case really, Harrison appeared 2 b so weak & clingin unto d life supports...so skinny too due 2 his disable to move too....=(..We were asked 2 pray 4 him too..tears flowed thru Alma's eyes as she saw her fren layin helplessly in bed thr....bt our prayers touched Harrison bt we had 2 depart soon den, b'coz of all our commitments in church

Along these passing days in d week, i dropped in @ Unc Voon's house 4 sum matters, i found bof him & Vyner as shown, kinda gettin seeds outta an unknown fruit...which i was informed dat d fruit itself is kinda acidic in form....bt nvrtheless, bof unc & vyner did dat till d stench was overwhelmin dat d entire house stink of it...vyner cudn't stand d acidic form of d fruit he's doin till he quit... Vyner, curious of his hands... examinin carefully d theory of his fingers & gettin proof of DNA, fingerprints 4 it d result of d aging process of mankind
Had great fun those days, altho there's sad moments too durin those few days, onli managed 2 get d telematch practice & d appreciation nite...
 One of those dummy animals made frm newspaper...d giraffe, erm babboon?, n hahaha...ours d lion..xD d horse, the elephant & d giraffe again...

Like i said, i was fortunate nt 2 b picked 4 dis game, dey were all asked 2 b blindfolded wif d head banners, den sit in spaced out positions n required to peel d bananas wif their feets...hahaha....bt Joanna managed 2 peel her's perfectly, as tho she uses her hands 2 peel, bt d worst statement was wen Stephanie announced dat all hu peel d bananas r asked 2 eat em up!!!! Yuck!!! haha...bt instead of eatin & obeyin all candidates attacked Steph & Richard 4 askin em 2 do so....dey all had stains on bananas on their tee-shirts instead....hahaha..xD
